Sitting in PDX waiting for my flight to Dulles. After a nearly two month hiatus from school I’m returning for my last semester. Can you say “totally stoked”? I’m most excited to be in Maine again because, realistically, I’m not sure when or if I’ll be back in that neck of the woods. So far 2012 is off to a great start.

A Road Trip to the Sunshine State
My good friend Foster Huntington owns a VW van that is the envy of every surfer, camper, and outdoor enthusiast from Vancouver, BC to Cabo. A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to ride shotgun from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco in his VW Syncro.
Time was not of the essence and we enjoyed cruising down the Oregon and California coastlines. When either one of us saw something photo worthy we’d pull a U-y and double back because, as they say, you miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.
